Acrytemp is a bisacrylic self-curing resin designed for the fast and reliable preparation of provisional crowns and bridgework in dental practice. It is practical to use thanks to its automix self-mixing system, easy to trim and polish, and offers high fracture resistance for dependable temporary restorations.

The material is free from methyl methacrylate monomer and features a low exothermic setting reaction, helping to maintain low temperatures during polymerization and minimizing pulp irritation. Available in five shades, Acrytemp provides a natural aesthetic effect that closely reproduces the color of natural teeth.

Temporary prostheses serve both functional and aesthetic purposes and represent the patient’s first experience of the future permanent restoration. Acrytemp supports this phase with excellent mechanical strength, easy modification during therapy, and cost-effective performance.

Directions for Use

The cartridge system ensures optimum, bubble-free mixing and allows direct application into the impression (direct method) or onto the mask (indirect method).

Before preparation of the stumps, take an impression using silicone or alginate. Use a cutter to remove areas between teeth and square off bases to facilitate correct positioning of the impression.

Pull back the dispenser rack using the black lever underneath. Raise the cartridge block and insert the cartridge in the correct position (4:1 mixing ratio). If inserted correctly, the cartridge block will close easily. Remove the colored cap and gently extrude a small amount of material until both components flow evenly.

Attach the mixing tip, aligning the V-shaped notch on the colored ring nut with the housing on the cartridge. Apply gentle pressure to dispense Acrytemp into the clean, dry impression, keeping the mixing tip immersed in the material to prevent bubble formation.

Reposition the impression in the mouth or on the model. After 1–2 minutes at 35°C (in the mouth) or 3–4 minutes at 23°C (on a model), remove the provisional in the elastic phase. Remove excess material and complete polymerization by immersing the restoration in hot water at 45°–55°C when possible. Otherwise, wait 6 minutes from the start of application before finishing with fine rotary instruments or abrasives.

An eugenol-free cement is recommended for cementation of the temporary restoration.
