Orikam Eighteeth ULTRA X is an advanced ultrasonic irrigation device operating at 45,000 kHz. It utilizes acoustic microstreaming, agitation, and cavitation to effectively clean areas of the complex root canal system that are difficult or impossible to instrument mechanically (up to ≥35%).

ULTRA X significantly enhances endodontic disinfection by improving irrigant penetration, disrupting biofilm, and aiding in retreatment and instrument retrieval procedures.

Irrigation Protocol Using ULTRA X

• Prepare the root canal to the desired taper
• Inject the final rinse solution using a side-vented needle
• Cover the device with a protective sleeve to prevent surface damage
• Select an activator tip that fits passively 2–3 mm short of the working length
• Agitate the irrigant using short vertical strokes for approximately 30 seconds, avoiding the apical 2 mm
• Replenish the irrigant and use suction to remove loosened debris
• Repeat the agitation and replenishment cycle 4–5 times
