Meta Biomed Metapaste is a calcium hydroxide–based temporary filling material containing barium sulfate for enhanced radiopacity. It is supplied as a premixed paste in a convenient syringe, ensuring easy handling, precise placement, and reduced risk of cross-contamination.

Metapaste is indicated for temporary restorations and endodontic applications, particularly during the interval between tooth preparation and permanent cementation of restorations, as well as for various root canal procedures requiring antibacterial action and hard tissue stimulation.

Precautions

• Use a rubber dam before the procedure
• Do not fill beyond the apical foramen
• Avoid applying excessive pressure on the syringe to prevent overfilling

Storage

• Keep the syringe capped when not in use
• Store at room temperature between 18°C – 24°C (64°F – 75°F)

Directions to Use

Step 1

• Prepare, clean, and dry the root canal thoroughly

Step 2

• Attach a disposable tip to the syringe
• Fill the canal completely by gently pushing the syringe plunger while slowly withdrawing the tip

Step 3

• Remove excess paste using a sterilized cotton pellet

Step 4

• Remove and discard the used tip
• Attach a new tip and recap the syringe
