Dentsply Zelgan 2002 is a dust-free irreversible hydrocolloid alginate impression material formulated to comply with ISO 1563 and EN 21563 standards. Its specially designed powder eliminates dust during mixing, ensuring safer handling and improved working conditions.

• Diatomaceous earth

• Red iron oxide pigment
• Spearmint oil (flavoring agent)

Warning: Zelgan 2002 may cause allergic reactions in patients sensitive to spearmint oil or other components. Use is contraindicated in such cases.

Storage

• Store in a tightly closed container at 2°C to 28°C
• Loosen powder before use by inverting the container twice
• Improper storage may reduce shelf life and affect performance

Directions for Use

Proportion

• Sectional impression: 1 scoop powder + lower mark of water measure
• Full impression: 2 scoops powder + middle mark of water measure
• Large impression: 3 scoops powder + upper mark of water measure

Standard Ratio: Powder : Water = 48 g (2 scoops) : 34 ml water (middle mark), yielding approximately 39 ml of impression material.

Mixing Instructions

• Machine mixing: 8–12 seconds (shortens working and setting time slightly)
• Hand mixing: Vigorous figure-of-eight motion for recommended time

• Water temperature 15°C: Mixing 30 sec | Working 2’05” | Setting 3’00”
• Water temperature 23°C: Mixing 30 sec | Working 1’30” | Setting 2’00”
• Water temperature 31°C: Mixing 30 sec | Working 0’50” | Setting 1’20”

Note: Setting times assume placement in the oral cavity 30 seconds after mixing. Clinical variations may occur.
