Ammdent Nano Fill Hybrid Composite is a nano-hybrid restorative composite material developed to deliver reliable esthetics and strength in moderate stress-bearing clinical situations. Its optimized particle distribution provides an ideal balance between polishability, surface smoothness, and mechanical performance.

The nano-hybrid formulation combines micro-sized glass or resin fillers with nanoparticles, resulting in lifelike translucency and good handling characteristics. This makes it suitable for a wide range of anterior and selected posterior restorations.

• Moderate stress-bearing areas

• Class V restorations

Contraindications :

• High stress-bearing areas
• Class I and Class II restorations

What are Nano-Hybrid Resin Composites?

Nano-hybrid resin composites typically exhibit properties that are slightly superior to microhybrid materials and slightly inferior to nanofilled composites. Clinically, they provide a balanced combination of polishability, translucency, and strength, making them suitable for moderate-stress restorations.

Comparison of Composite Types :

Microfill Composites

• Particle size: 0.01–0.1 µm (agglomerated)
• Clinical use: Subgingival lesions, smooth surfaces, anterior esthetics
• Advantages: Highest esthetics, enamel-like surface, high luster, excellent polish retention, stain resistance
• Disadvantages: Lower strength, increased water sorption

Microhybrid Composites

• Particle size: 0.1–2 µm glass + 40 nm silica
• Clinical use: Moderate-stress areas, posterior restorations, Class IV, incisal build-ups
• Advantages: Simulates dentin, higher strength, good masking ability
• Disadvantages: Less polishable, faster wear than microfills

Nano-Hybrid Composites

• Particle size: 0.1–2 µm glass or resin microparticles with ≤100 nm nanoparticles
• Clinical use: Moderate-stress areas requiring good polishability (Class III, IV)
• Advantages: High polishability, better surface smoothness, lifelike opacity and translucency
• Disadvantages: Polish retention lower than microfills, higher plaque and stain susceptibility over time, reduced gingival biocompatibility
