Cerkamed Chloraxid 5.25% is a sodium hypochlorite–based solution intended for use during endodontic treatments as an irrigating and cleaning liquid for root canals. During mechanical canal preparation, it effectively removes non-vital pulp debris and organic remnants, ensuring thorough canal decontamination.

Chloraxid 5.25% is supplied in a specially designed bottle with an adapter, allowing safe, easy, and spill-free transfer of the solution directly into syringes. This innovative system minimizes chlorine evaporation, reduces exposure to irritating vapors, and improves overall clinical safety.

For enhanced safety and efficiency, Cerkamed also offers labeled syringes with color-coded identification matching the product label. This system reduces the risk of errors and enables fast product recognition during treatment.

• Removal of dead pulp remnants during mechanical canal widening

Directions for Use

• Step 1: Open the pulp cavity and remove contents to expose root canal orifices
• Step 2: Perform an initial rinse with sodium hypochlorite
• Step 3: Remove inflamed pulp from the root canal
• Step 4: Rinse copiously with sodium hypochlorite while mechanically preparing the canal using a side-vented needle
• Step 5: Aspirate the liquid and debris using an endo-aspirator
• Step 6: During preparation, use EDTA-containing agents (e.g., Endo-Solution, Endo-Prep) to aid canal widening

Note: Sodium hypochlorite is immediately inactivated upon contact with organic matter. As its concentration decreases, both rinsing time and volume must be increased accordingly.

When using sodium hypochlorite followed by chlorhexidine digluconate, always rinse the canal thoroughly with physiological saline in between to prevent formation of brown precipitate.
