Indications

GLUMA Desensitizer is used for the treatment of hypersensitive dentine by precipitating plasma proteins, reducing dentinal permeability and occluding peripheral dentinal tubules, which inhibits fluid flow—the main cause of sensitivity.

• Eliminates pain in exposed cervical areas not requiring restoration
• Alleviates or prevents sensitivity after preparation for indirect restorations
• Use below all restorations—direct or indirect—for optimal patient comfort, including:
• Crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, temporaries
• Margins around temporary crowns
• All direct restorations

Precautions

• Contains glutardialdehyde and 2-hydroxyethyl-methacrylate; toxic and local irritant
• Wear protective gloves and goggles; cover patient’s eyes
• Avoid inhalation, skin contact, and eye contact
• Rinse immediately and seek medical advice if contact occurs
• Use only the smallest amount necessary

Contraindications

• Do not use if precautions or specified techniques cannot be followed
• Do not use in patients allergic to any ingredients
• Do not use if pain is due to pulpitis or if the pulp is exposed or dentine adjacent to pulp is perforated
