Kids-e-Dental E-Splint is an esthetic, fiber-reinforced periodontal splint made from medical-grade polyethylene fibers woven into tight structural threads. It is designed to stabilize mobile teeth by splinting them together, creating a stronger and more stable unit than individual teeth alone.
Tooth mobility may result from periodontal disease, trauma, orthodontic treatment, or occlusal stress due to malalignment. Periodontal splinting with E-Splint is a simple and effective technique—most commonly used on anterior teeth—to restore comfort, function, and patient confidence.

Contraindications

Directions for Use
A. Preparing the Teeth
- Perform scaling and cleaning using a non-fluoride prophylactic paste
- Apply a rubber dam for isolation
- Etch the tooth surface with 37% orthophosphoric acid
- Apply bonding agent and light cure
- Apply a thin layer of flowable composite resin on the tooth surface
B. Preparing the E-Splint
- Cut the fiber strip to the required length
- Completely impregnate the strip with bonding agent
C. Positioning
- Position the impregnated fiber strip onto the teeth
- Hold in place with a suitable instrument and light cure
D. Reinforcement
- Apply flowable composite over the splint and into the space between the teeth and splint
- Light cure thoroughly
E. Finishing
- Smooth and finish any rough surfaces using a suitable bur
- Remove the rubber dam and carefully check occlusion
