Voco Calcicur Syringe
Voco Calcicur is a ready-to-use, radiopaque, water-based calcium hydroxide paste designed for effective pulp protection and endodontic applications. With a high calcium hydroxide content, Calcicur provides reliable antimicrobial action and supports the formation of tertiary dentine.
The paste is easy to apply directly from the syringe and is suitable for use under all common lining and filling materials. Its high pH value ensures effective protection of the pulp while promoting healing and dentin regeneration.
Indications :
- Direct pulp capping when the pulp is exposed or during pulpotomy
- Indirect pulp capping for the treatment of deep caries (caries profunda)
- Cavity lining to protect against acidic media when using cements
- Temporary filling of root canals
Precautions :
- Improper storage may cause drying or separation of the paste
- Calcium hydroxide is caustic to skin and mucous membranes
- Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly with water in case of contact and seek medical advice if necessary
- Do not apply to tooth areas intended for adhesive bonding
- Do not apply in thick layers or use as a permanent filling or luting material

Packaging :

Direction to Use :
- Clean and dry the cavity before application
- Apply Calcicur in thin layers until the desired thickness is achieved
- Allow each layer to dry briefly or dry carefully with air
- Avoid application on cavity margins and remove any excess material
- Proceed with lining and final filling
- For root canal use, prepare and clean the canal thoroughly
- Insert the paste using the application cannula or a Lentulo spiral
- Move the paste toward the apex carefully, avoiding air entrapment or extrusion beyond the apex
- Place the temporary filling and verify radiographically
- Renew the temporary root canal filling if retained longer than 6–8 months
- May be used before or after complete root maturation
