Kulzer Charisma Smart Composite – 4 Syringe Combi Kit

Kulzer Charisma Smart Composite is a light-curing, radiopaque submicron-hybrid composite (Microglass®) developed for adhesively bonded, tooth-coloured restorations. It is suitable for both anterior and posterior applications and delivers reliable esthetics with excellent handling characteristics.

Charisma Smart dental materials are not made of Bisphenol-A. The composite is designed to provide colour stability, easy polishability, and natural-looking restorations with simplified layering techniques, making it ideal for everyday clinical use.

Composition

• BIS-GMA matrix
• Approximately 59% filler by volume
• Particle size: 0.005 – 10 μm
• Barium aluminum fluoride glass
• Highly dispersive silicon dioxide

Indications

• Direct restoration of Class I – V cavities (according to G.V. Black)
• Shape corrections of teeth (diastemas, congenital defects, etc.)
• Splinting of teeth loosened by trauma or periodontal disease
• Restoration of primary teeth
• Repair of porcelain and composite restorations (with an appropriate repair system)

Recommended Curing Time & Layer Thickness (Translux®)

• Universal Shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B2): 20 seconds, max 2 mm
• Opaque Shade (Dentine): 40 seconds, max 2 mm

Instructions

• Do not reduce recommended curing times to ensure optimal physical properties
• Avoid premature curing by switching off or redirecting the operating light during long procedures
• Relieve internal syringe pressure after use by unscrewing the plunger slightly
• Close the syringe cap after every use

Storage

• Keep out of direct sunlight
• Do not store above 25°C (77°F)
• Do not use after the expiration date

Contraindications

• Application to dentine closer than 1 mm to the pulp
• Known or suspected allergy to any component of Charisma Smart
• Allergy to (meth)acrylate compounds

Side Effects

• In rare cases, hypersensitive reactions may occur

Precautions

• Avoid contact with skin and eyes; use appropriate protective equipment
• In deep cavities near the pulp, apply a calcium hydroxide liner followed by glass ionomer cement
• Avoid use of eugenol, thymol, or phenol-containing materials near the cavity
• Prevent contamination of syringes; do not reuse if contaminated
• Use composite only after it has reached room temperature
